The Eras Tour: Denver Night 2
Friendship bracelets, glitter everywhere, a 13 on my hand, and lyrics on my arm. It was everything I had dreamed it would be.
I have been a fan of Taylor Swift - a “Swiftie” - since I was about 12. I remember when some of my friends told me about her song “Teardrops On My Guitar” in middle school. I went home and listened to the song and fell in love. She was an artist whose lyrics I could relate to, even as a preteen and young teenager. Her song “Fifteen” came out right before my fifteenth birthday. Her music brought me through those angsty teen years, the confusing young-adult years, and her lyrics continue to inspire me as I prepare to turn thirty later this year.
The Eras Tour was the first time I got to see Taylor Swift perform live. It’s not really my “thing” to go to concerts, but I am so happy that I went. My sister and I went together and made a whole weekend of it. We dressed in purple (in honor of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)) and did our hair and makeup. We sang along as loud as we could. It was so fun being around other “Swifties.” My only regret is not trying to get tickets for both nights she was in Denver!
