My daughter is now 4 years old! I can’t believe it. It feels like she was just born yesterday. This has been the best four years of my life.
For her fourth birthday party, she wanted a Disney TOTS themed party. TOTS is a new, adorable show on Disney Junior. Sadly, I couldn’t find any TOTS party supplies, because it’s still very new. I figured I would start by looking for rainbow-themed supplies and then go from there. Well, apparently you can’t get rainbows without unicorns, so her party became a rainbows and unicorns themed celebration.
We found decorations at Target, Party City, and Dollar Tree. Fresh, colorful flowers added more of a rainbow feel and balloons added to the fun.
For food, we served pulled pork sandwiches (made by my father-in-law), Annabella’s favorite sliced vegetables, and I made macaroni and cheese for a side (I used this recipe).
We bought delicious rainbow cupcakes at King Soopers for dessert. We even found a giant cupcake just for Annabella.
Overall, it was an amazing party. Annabella really enjoyed herself, and I did too.
Planning parties is something I love to do. Last year, her birthday party was easy, since I had a six-week-old baby. We went to Fargo’s Pizza, because they have an arcade and I didn’t have to decorate or clean up. And she still had a great time at her birthday party. Her 1st and 2nd birthday parties were a bit more involved. Her first birthday was dinosaur themed, and her second birthday was at a farm.
The most important part of her birthday parties is that everyone she loves the most is there for her. The theme and the presents don’t matter. Those are fun things, but they are not as important as Annabella knowing that she is loved. As her mother, I want to give her the world. Giving her a beautiful birthday party is one way I can attempt to do so.
