Hi.

Welcome to Lovely and Brave! Here you will find a glimpse into my motherhood journey - the ups and downs and every wonderful thing in between.

First Trimester "Bump-date"

First Trimester "Bump-date"

Today I am 11 weeks and 4 days pregnant with baby number 2! Last Friday we had our first peek at our baby, who I affectionately refer to as "Little Bean." LB is healthy and growing right on track. He or she even moved around and danced during the ultrasound!

I have been feeling fatigue, aches, pains, and nausea. When I was pregnant with Annabella I felt more nauseous and I napped a lot more (because I could) but I never threw up. I also didn't feel this achy until I was about 20 weeks pregnant. Since this is my second pregnancy my body has already started to change. I even have a little baby bump already!

We've started stockpiling some things for LB already, such as diapers, pacifiers, and a couple new bottles. I have received quite a few samples from companies, so I will share all about those programs in the next few weeks. We also have some neutral baby clothes, blankets, and other baby gear left over from when Annabella was a little baby.

When I first found out I was pregnant again, I was so overjoyed. I couldn't wait to tell everyone. But as the weeks went on I started to feel scared. I was scared for our finances, for the birth, and for Annabella. I'm still a little scared, but I also have peace that new babies not only bring new life, but they bring healing and hope for the future. I can't wait to see what amazing things this baby will do in its lifetime.
