DIY: Easy Sugar Scrub
I have sensitive skin that changes with the weather. When the weather is cold, my skin gets dry and blotchy. I even had a few dry spots that were in need of exfoliating. Since my skin is so sensitive, I don't want to buy a product that could further irritate my skin. So, I make my own sugar scrub that exfoliates and moisturizes my skin.
I have seen many versions of this recipe on blogs and YouTube tutorials over the last few years. I have adjusted this simple recipe over the years to make it perfect for me, so I am sharing it here.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 lemon (juice)
1-2 tablespoons honey
Add sugar to a small jar.
Squeeze your half of a lemon into the jar.
Next add the honey.
Mix well.
To Use:
Start with a clean, dry face. Smooth the scrub all over your face. Gently massage your face as you apply it all over. You can even use this scrub on your lips! It doesn't taste too bad.
Let it sit for a few moments before rinsing. Pat dry with a clean towel.
My face already feels smoother after one use! Your mixture can be saved for up two weeks. Store it in a covered jar or container in the fridge.
Let me know in the comments below if you use this sugar scrub!
