Second Trimester Bump-Date
I can't believe I'm already halfway through the second trimester of this pregnancy! Parts of it are going by so fast while other parts tend to drag on. Overall, this pregnancy has not been easy. For example, I was feeling extra tired and emotional for a while, and it didn't feel like normal pregnancy symptoms. I finally talked to my doctor about it a few weeks ago and she decided to do a blood test to check my thyroid. Well, it turns out that my levels were abnormal and I need medication. I've been taking it for a few weeks now and I can already see some improvement. I have also been a lot achier this time around, and I easily tire after being out and about. When I am able to rest for a while during the day I am usually okay.
An awesome part of this pregnancy is feeling the baby move! I started to feel Annabella kick at 16 weeks. I remember that first time very vividly. This baby is a lot more calm. I think I may have felt some kicks and movement earlier, but I chalked it up to normal tummy feelings. Now I can feel her kick and move around a little each day.
I will be 21 weeks along this Sunday, so I am half way through this pregnancy. I cannot wait to begin nesting and making a space for this baby and all of her little outfits and toys. We've already started stocking up on diapers and wipes, so that definitely helps satisfy my need for nesting!
Also, I have casually mentioned here that we are having a girl! I am so excited to add another little girl to our family. I will write all about her name and our gender reveal party in my next post.
