PUMPKIN EVERYTHING
"The trees are about to show us how lovely it is to let the dead things go." — Anonymous
I was walking through the aisles of Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago when I caught a whiff of the most beautiful smell - autumn. It was a combination of pumpkin and apple spice candles and potpourri. It was the smell of new beginnings.
Fall is becoming a time of new beginnings for me. A chance to strip away the old and start something new. My new beginning for this year has already begun with a new hair cut.
I found a candle called "Cozy Autumn Cuddle," and I love it so much I've been burning it every chance I get. I even bought a replacement for when the first one runs out.
As we near fall, I am becoming even more determined to stick to my self-care regimen. I've been taking it one day at a time. So far I have been fixing my hair, putting on makeup, and getting dressed every day this week (instead of staying in my pajamas all day). I know that seems so simple to some people, and even automatic for most, but it has been a daily struggle for me for months.
I'm going to keep moving forward and pushing through the exhaustion. I want to thrive, not just survive.
