My Wedding - June 20, 2015

With my two year wedding anniversary coming up very soon, I decided that now would be the perfect time to write a wedding post.

We planned our wedding in less two months, but everything worked out great. I know that I'm biased, but it was the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen.

Our wedding was held in my parents' backyard, since we did not have time to book a wedding hall or reserve a park. It was not what I had dreamed of since I was little girl - but it was way more amazing than anything I had ever imagined for myself.

Our colors were teal and gray. We also had hints of superheroes everywhere as well.

The First Look

We met up at the chapel at Colorado College in downtown Colorado Springs for our wedding party pictures.

Yes, he did jump up and down when he saw me.

Bride and Bridesmaids

My bridesmaids! My little sister Daniella was my maid of honor and my best friend Haley was my bridesmaid.

Groom and Groomsmen

Jeremy's groomsmen: Travis (best friend) and Jacob (brother)

Wedding Party

We had our bridesmaids and groomsmen who walked down the aisle with us, but we also had many other loved ones involved in our wedding. I have a lot of sisters, and they were all basically running the show. My sister Monique painted signs, my sister Valerie painted our card box, and Daniella threw me an amazing bachelorette shower.

Both mine and Jeremy's family put a lot of work into our wedding. We had to all work together since we had such a small time frame!

Of course we had to take pictures in one of our favorite comic book stores!

Ceremony and Reception

Instead of a traditional guest book, we asked our guests to sign Jenga pieces.

These lovely girls were so much help on our wedding day!

I MADE the flowergirl dresses! I crocheted the tops and then I painstakingly looped a million strands of tulle through the top for the skirts.

This is my niece Analie. She was only 3 on my wedding day. As you can probably tell from this picture, she is about to RUN. She saw her best friend and wanted to go sit by him instead of participate in the wedding. Also, up until a couple weeks before the wedding, she thought that SHE was going to marry Jeremy.

This is my favorite picture from our wedding day.

We cut our cake with one of Jeremy's favorite knives.

We love King Soopers cupcakes!

Overall, I was completely happy with our wedding. Not everything went perfectly and we had plenty of problems. Our music almost didn't work, which would have been a problem since I was not going to come down unless my song was playing! Everyone kept saying that we were running late. How can you be late to your own wedding? Personally, I didn't want to keep our guests waiting. Jeremy kept saying, as he played around and making weird faces during pictures, "They can't start without us!" And since my little nieces were the flower girls, there were quite a few tantrums that day. Not only that, it was about 90 degrees that day!

Even though there were small snags throughout the day, it was still a beautiful and memorable day. We ate Famous Dave's Barbeque at the reception and spent the day with people who love us. It was a gorgeous garden wedding and the perfect way to begin our family.
