Another Fall Post: DIY Fall Wreath

If you've been reading this blog, you know by now that I don't like to let go of things. Whether it is a season of my life, or a season of the year.

Yet here I am, wishing for Christmas. And other things.

I feel like I am waiting for something big to happen to me. I am in no way ready for a big change, but I can feel it in my soul. I'm waiting for something new to come along, just like a kid waiting for Christmas morning.

Now that fall is here and Halloween is over, I'm about ready to toss my pumpkins and hang up the stockings. At the same time, I want to crunch more leaves under my boots and buy more pumpkin candles. I wish I was looking forward to Thanksgiving, but I'm not. I could go for some sweet potatoes and pie, but other than that I want to fast forward through these next few weeks.

In an effort to stay in the Thanksgiving and autumn spirit longer, I made my own fall wreath for my front door. Here's how I did it:

First, I went to Hobby Lobby and bought my supplies. Luckily, I made it just in time, and all of the fall decor was marked down. I made sure to buy a wreath form and thick, wired ribbon. I didn't have a plan, so I bought whatever items I liked and thought would make be cute on my wreath.

First, I glued one end of the ribbon to my wreath form. Then I wrapped diagonally around the entire wreath form. From there I glued on the other decorations.

The great thing about making your own wreath is that you can make it look however you want. I made my first one this spring, and now I want to make one for every occasion.
